Most of the cleaning can be done by vacuuming, but some hard to reach areas may require the rag over a butter knife method. For floor registers, remove the vent and let it soak in soapy water. Scrub the vent with a brush or sponge to remove any rust and dirt. Once the vent has fully dried, screw it back in place.
